Rock Creek Gardens was established as a wedding and event venue in 2008, however, the Gardens’ history goes back far longer.

The house was originally built in 1958 with bricks left over from the construction of the JBLM Officer’s Quarters and was home to the Morell family and their four kids for over 20 years. In 2005, when the kids were all grown and out of the house, the decision came to either sell the property or create something magical. The Morell’s eldest daughter, Gracie (Founder & Venue Director), chose magical!

The property was designed to enhance the natural flow of already existing landscapes, from large rocks to the pond, and to showcase the trees that have stood for so long. Views of Mt. Rainier, 100-year-old cedar trees, waterfalls, and stone pathways throughout The Gardens invite guests to explore the beauty of the PNW. In 2008, Rock Creek Gardens hosted its first official wedding and now has thousands of guests from all over the world visit each year.
